Located on the traditional territories of the Lhaq’temish and Noxwsʼáʔaq peoples.

Uneven Ground is a collaborative project and platform that aims to create works of meaning in the spaces of worlds lost and re-imagined. We locate our creative body in the liminal space of climate collapse — focused on landscapes and communities who are living through, working with, and struggling against geo-political and ecological erasure.

Who We Are

Jericho Leavitt and Wil Henkel created Uneven Ground out of a shared intimacy with landscape and language. This project was born out of several years of friendship and cultivated through relationship with the Nooksack Watershed. This platform aims to collaboratively engage in deep relationships with place, play, and re-imaginings. The project continues to expand, in Widening Circles, to include more voices, projects, and perspectives.
